Through the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education, UA is raising the standard for the use of generative artificial intelligence. We’re among the first in the nation to prepare our community to be effective leaders in AI use.
The UA AI Experience is a free, three-hour online learning experience that prepares you to confidently and responsibly use AI in your role at The University of Alabama and beyond.

Why the UA AI Experience Matters
Generative AI is becoming an increasingly present component of academic and professional work. The UA AI Experience helps you build competencies to use AI tools responsibly and effectively.
Using a 4D framework (Discern, Direct, Double-check, Defend), the AI Experience gives participants practical knowledge and skills that can be applied confidently in any role or context. The goal is to improve decision-making and increase accountability for all generative AI users.
