The UA AI Experience is a free, flexible online learning experience teaching you how to appropriately and confidently use AI in your studies, during internships and in your future career.
In just three hours, you'll learn how to effectively use AI tools while exercising academic integrity, thinking critically and making informed decisions.

You'll receive information about accessing the course through your email, and you can complete the modules at your own pace through the Oct. 28 deadline.

How much does it cost?
Nothing. The UA AI Experience is completely free for students.
How long does it take?
The course will open Aug. 31 and close Oct. 28, and take approximately three hours total to complete.
Do I have to finish it all at once?
No. The course is self-paced, so you can complete it whenever it fits your schedule. Your progress is saved as you move through the modules.
How do I access the course?
Students are automatically enrolled in the UA AI Experience. Simply log in to Blackboard and look for the UA AI Experience in your course list.
I don't remember enrolling. Why am I in this course?
All eligible UA students are automatically enrolled so every student has the opportunity to develop practical AI skills and confidence while pursuing President Mohler’s goal of AI literacy and competency for every member of the UA community.
Can I drop or withdraw from the course?
The UA AI Experience is a University learning experience rather than a credit-bearing academic course. Because of this, it cannot be dropped or withdrawn like a traditional class. There is no requirement to complete the AI Experience unless assigned by an instructor or your home department.
Does this count toward my degree?
No. The UA AI Experience is a non-credit learning experience designed to support your academic and professional development. It’s a great item to add to your resume and place the digital badges you earned on your LinkedIn profile.
Will this appear on my transcript?
No.
Will this affect my GPA?
No. There are no letter grades, and participation does not affect your GPA.
Will I earn anything for completing the experience?
Yes. You'll earn digital badges as you complete each module and finish the experience. These badges recognize your achievement and can be shared on professional platforms like LinkedIn.
Can I use the badges on LinkedIn or my résumé?
Yes. Your digital badges are a great way to showcase your AI knowledge and commitment to lifelong learning. In addition to LinkedIn, social media, and email signatures, several participants have mentioned plans to add their badge to professional portfolios, résumés, and performance evaluations.
Will my instructors know I've completed the course?
